Eric, it’s been over a year now, and each day I still think of you. It doesn’t get easier. I miss your little cuddles and your little nose nudges. Your ashes are still on the mantelpiece as I cannot bury them. But you are still so loved. And always will be, son. Your dad and I miss you so much. Hope the sun is shining where you are, son.

I love you forever, Kris, my beloved rat boy. I couldn't do all for you that i wanted to do. Buy bigger cage, give more love, make you even happier rat, than you already were. But all that i do was only in your best interest. I feed you well, i give you lots of tasty treats, i cleaned for you, i protected you. And also i send you to sleep for minimising your pain. I was a good owner. Not the best of the best, but good enough to make you happy, to keep you alive. You will live in my heart, dear
